SDC Solutions Signs Altura & Carousel Industries (Aug 07)

SDC Solutions, Inc. announced a reseller agreement with Altura Communication Solutions.  Under the agreement, Altura became an Authorized SDC Valued Business Partner, adding SDC's communications solutions to their portfolio of offerings.  In a separate agreement, Carousel Industries became an Authorized SDC Channel Partner, adding SDC's communications solutions to their portfolio of offerings.

SDC Releases IntelliDESK® 6.0 PC-based Attendant Console (Apr 07)

SDC Solutions, Inc. released IntelliDESK 6.0, an intelligent PC-based attendant console.  IntelliDESK combines an enterprise directory with single keystroke access to critical status and contact information for an organization's entire business community.

IntelliDESK functions as a centralized corporate knowledge database, reducing the time and effort to maintain accurate directory information.  Additionally, IntelliDESK's streamlined approach to call handling eliminates the need for continually updated extension lists, printed on-call schedules, and cumbersome binders filled with emergency procedures and information.  IntelliDESK 6.0 includes enhancements to the product's usability and ease of configuration, including:

  • Database Auditing: full accountability by tracking all changes made to the operator and directory tables.

  • Contact Preferences: weekly schedules that track preferred methods of contact based on staff member, time of day, and day of week.

  • Spell Check/Customization: comprehensive spell check functionality, with customized dictionary.

  • Scheduled Events: allows future scheduling of employee status changes and pager reassignments.

  • Message Template Paging Masks: inserts pre-defined messages into paging window

IntelliDESK 6.0 has been tested on the Standard and Enterprise Editions of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and the Business and Ultimate Editions of Microsoft Windows Vista.


SDC Solutions Releases Web-based Directory Software (Apr 06)

SDC Solutions, Inc. released WebServices 5.5, a comprehensive, web-based tool that allows employees to access enterprise directory information without operator assistance.  Key features of WebServices include desktop and wireless access to critical directory information and on-call schedules, ability to page and email a contact directly, variable search criteria, multi-location search option, and password protection for security. 

This new release includes enhancements to the product's usability and ease of configuration, including:

  • Personalized directory views based on login
  • Detailed transaction history log
  • Auto suggest and advanced search options
  • Definable personal list for easy on-call scheduling
  • On-call scheduling by day, week, weekday, weekend, and month
  • Ability to create department schedule templates
  • Administration of updates and changes to personal contact information          
  • Access to a variety of reports
  • Ability to retrieve and answer messages

WebServices uses a standard web browser and can be utilized as a stand-alone application or integrated as part of SDC's total call handling solution.


SDC Announces IntelliSpeech 4  (Nov 03)

SDC Inc, a supplier of intelligent PC-based consoles, speech recognition, and enterprise directory solutions, announced Version 4 of its IntelliSpeech call handling solution to provide speech-enabled directory and automated call processing.  IntelliSpeech is a modular, integrated suite of enterprise directory applications consisting of IntelliSpeech, IntelliDesk PC-based operator console, and web-services online enterprise directory. 

Powered by speech application technologies from Newfound Communications, Inc. and Vocalocity, Inc., IntelliSpeech provides a telephone directory database accessible via the spoken word.  Combined with a suite of directory, paging, and messaging applications, it provides services and call processing efficiencies for the calling public, employees, patients, staff, and physicians.  IntelliSpeech provides callers with self-service, allowing them to simply speak the name of a person or department to connect their call, initiate a page, or access a portal of information.  IntelliSpeech eliminates 50-70% of the "routine" calls to operators, allowing them to handle more important tasks and provide a higher level of support to callers who need it.
