1Call Adds New Features to miSecureMessages, Schedules Conference

The 1Call Division of Amtelco announced enhancements to the miSecureMessages application, which sends encrypted messages to mobile devices.  This allows for secure two-way communications, making it vital for maintaining Protected Health Information (PHI) to ensure healthcare organizations meet HIPAA and HITECH regulations, while saving critical time for physicians and patients.

Now featured with miSecureMessages is a tighter integration with miOnCall and Web On-Call, allowing users to view and update their status directly from the miSecureMessages App.  In addition, the person sending a message using miSecureMessages can access the on-call schedules to send a message to the current on-call personnel, helping ensure the correct person receives the message.

Amtelco president Tom Curtin said, “These new miSecureMessages enhancements makes it an even more valuable tool for our healthcare organizations, allowing them to provide the best service possible for their staff, so they can provide even better care for their patients.  By providing encryption security, along with the crucial two-way communications, miSecureMessages provides an ideal solution for replacing pagers throughout an organization.”

In related news, dates were given for the Fifth Annual 1Call Leadership Conference Training Seminar.  It will be held September 27-29, 2011, at The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club, located in downtown Madison, Wisconsin.  The Leadership Conference and Training Seminar covers topics for both management and operational staff, offering joint sessions for the entire group, along with separate sessions geared towards specific topics of interest for management and operational staff.
