The 1Call Division of Amtelco will host the Seventh Annual 1Call Leadership Conference and Training Seminar on September 24-26, 2013, at The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club, located in downtown Madison, Wisconsin.

As in previous years, topics for both management and operational staff will be included. Several joint sessions are planned for the entire group, along with separate sessions geared towards management and other topics for operational staff.

Topics for this year include:

  • EMR Integration

  • How Amtelco Products Benefit Your Hospital
  • Using Guided Call Scripting in Your Call Center
  • Reducing Readmissions with Care Calls
  • Managing Emergency and Non-Emergency Events
  • Scripting Code Calls

Amtelco Vice President of Sales, Mike Friedel, commented, “There is still time to register, and I highly recommend this event as an extremely beneficial opportunity for our customers. Our guest speakers are leaders in the healthcare industry, and by sharing their success stories, they help make all attendees successful.”

In other news, an update for the miSecureMessages app for Apple devices was announced. This new update features a redesigned user interface that improves usability and boosts performance and responsiveness. The Apple miSecureMessages app, which replaces pagers by providing secure two-way communications, is available for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. The app saves hospital staff more than one minute per communication, compared to legacy pager technology.

With the new version 3.0 miSecureMessages release, users can add passcodes of up to 50 characters, helping improve security. Several new sound options are included, giving users more choices. Multiple message threads can be deleted at the same time, saving time for users.

Amtelco’s Vice President of Research and Development, Kevin Beale stated, “The new version of the iOS app so closely emulates native Apple apps that users will instantly understand it. Just as the most recent update that included contact circles and group messaging capabilities, we are continuing to add impressive features to miSecureMessages, while helping ensure security to keep data private.” The app is also available for Android and BlackBerry devices.
