1Call announced an updated miSecureMessages Android™ App. MiSecureMessages provides secure two-way smart-device messaging, saving time, and safeguarding protected health information (PHI), helping ensure HIPAA and HITECH compliance. In addition to Android, miSecureMessages Apps are also available for Apple® iPad®, iPhone®, and iPod touch®, and BlackBerry® devices.
The update enhances security with a new passcode capability. In addition to security, miSecureMessages offers features designed to speed and simplify communications. MiSecureMessages sends an unlimited number of characters (unlike SMS or pager messages that restrict the number of characters), sends large amounts of data quickly, and issues persistent alerts to recipients’ smart devices, helping ensure immediate attention. Also, users have a new way to search for contacts by name and can delete multiple message threads at the same time
